I’m going to share with you what exactly my "For the Love of Food" Method is and what makes it so different from other nutrition programs you may have tried in the past.
No, it doesn’t involve counting calories, no we don’t cut out specific foods or entire groups of food. Instead, I use a 4 pillar approach that goes beyond nutrition.
This pillar is the obvious one. To get started and be successful, you need a game plan! This starts with a weekly menu. I customize the food selections based on individual goals and preferences. Each recipe includes tips and tricks on things like handling leftovers, adding extra flavours, or substitutions if you don't have all the ingredients. I also provide a grocery list, so you know exactly what you need to get wasting no time. Once a week I send this package out to my clients providing them their playbook for next week's meals.
Now it’s one thing to have a plan, but it’s another thing to stick to it. This is where the support comes into it. Once a week I will check in with you to see how things are going. Imagine having a personal chef at your fingertips! We will work together on breaking down that diet culture mentality, destroying those food rules, and getting back to loving food again!
It’s not about the food. When we decide we want to get “healthy”, we immediately look at what food we are eating and should be eating. And yes, while this is important, there is another huge layer that we often forget about. Digestion begins in the mouth and the best way to kick-start our digestive system is to prepare and cook our meals. As you smell all the ingredients, our bodies smell the food and know that we are about to eat, triggering our digestive system to open for business. Then enjoy the meal - does it involve family and friends? Are you savoring each bite? Or is it more of a race to see how you can finish it and continue on with what you were doing? , we look at what we do after our meal. Could we finish it by going for a short walk, instead of moving over to the couch for some binging of Netflix?
